FAQs

Alcohol: You purchase alcohol from Logan Square Kitchen.  We provide a proposal in advance and upon your approval, you purchase in advance.  Some exceptions are made for charity fundraisers.

Candles?: yes, we permit candles within glass, whether votive or hurricane.  No open flames permitted. We have complimentary votive glass holders for tea lights.

Capacity: We have tables and chairs for 64 on site, included in the fee.  We think 64 and less for seated dinner is our sweet spot.  15-20 will not get lost in our room, and up to 64 is lovely.  Capacity maximum is 80 seated dinner (too cozy for corporate stuff), 125 standing cocktail party.

Caterers/Chefs?: All those qualified are welcome.  Have a favorite restaurant?  Yep, you can ask them to come here and cater for you.  We have recommendations, but no restrictions.

Dates:  you can always check our event calendar to see if your date is available.  Yes, it's always accurate.

Ice: Ice machine on site, included in fee.

Kitchen use: Included in your event fee. Yes, we do allow guests in the kitchen-- it's too hard to keep them out.  Chefs tables and dressed buffet/carving stations are welcome.  Kitchen access begins at 3pm for evening events.

Load in/out: Use loading zone at front door for dining room rental delivery.  Chefs/caterers use loading zone in alley at back door.  See our Deliver page for a map.

Music?: Dining room has a stereo system with ipod doc and DJ aux jack. Size-appropriate (read:small) live music and DJ systems are welcome.  We also offer commercial-free Pandora service.

Parking: street parking available.  Our Deliver page has info on what streets have or do not have meters.  Please contact us directly for valet parking recommendations.

Restrictions: Caterers, florists, guests should refrain from use of styrofoam and bottled still water.  Florists, please refrain from use of floral foam. 

Water: Filtered water on site, so we ask that no bottled still water be used at LSK events.
